Freshman Jarrett Brodbeck got things started for Regis as he nailed his first three-point attempt of the game. Sophomore Dexter Sienko followed up the shot with a free throw and the Rangers jumped out to a 4-0 lead early. A few baskets later, RU found themselves up 15-8 midway through the first half.

A jumper from junior Elijah Sanders put Regis up 25-19 lead with just over two minutes remaining in the first half. Another three-pointer from Brodbeck gave the Rangers a nine-point cushion, their largest of the first half. RU took the 28-19 lead into halftime as Sienko led all scorers with nine points on 3-6 shooting while also collecting 3 defensive rebounds. Senior floor general Kevin Marshall dished out four assists in the first half leading all players in the game.

After halftime, Colorado College made a run that cut the Regis lead to three points after two minutes of play. The Rangers held their composure and were able to force the Tigers into multiple turnovers. Turnovers led to a layup by Sanders that extended the RU lead to 10 after nine minutes of play. One minute later, senior Bill Hansen's second three-pointer of the game and a dunk from Sienko gave Regis a 51-39 advantage over the Tigers.

Senior Dylan King connected on an attempt from beyond the arc and Sienko once again followed with a layup to put the Rangers up 17 points. RU would continue to play well for the rest of the half, making crisp passes, creating and taking open shots, and limiting their turnovers. Regis hit free throws to close out the game 72-66 over CC.

Sienko led all scorers with 19 points, shooting 70 percent from the field (7-10) including 5-8 at the free throw line. Brodbeck chipped in 15 points connecting on three shots from beyond the arc.
