Denver, Colorado- The late-game rally from yesterday's walk-off single for the Rangers victory, unfortunately did not make an appearance today. MSU-Denver Roadrunners beat out Regis 7-4 for the win and clinching the series.

The Roadrunners would come out swinging, putting up runs in each of the first four innings. In the top half of the first inning, Hunter Donaldson scored Mitch Gibbons on a single through the right side. Marcus Bean kept things going blooping a single into right field, scoring Trent Maloney from third base. 

The Rangers would put two runs on the board in the bottom of the fourth inning. Freshmen centerfielder John Flint would pick up two RBI's as he singled to center field scoring freshmen catcher Christian Bitar, and freshmen right fielder Connor Rochon. After 6 innings of play, Roadrunners led 7-2. 

Junior left fielder CJ McGrady singled to left field to get things started for the Rangers in the bottom of the seventh. Next, freshmen shortstop Mickey Meinhofer would single up the middle. McGrady would score, and Meinhofer would reach third base on a throwing error by the MSU-Denver pitcher. Junior designated hitter Ty Overboe would hit a sacrifice fly to center field, scoring Meinhofer from third and cutting the Roadrunner lead to three after seven innings of play. Unfortunately the Rangers wouldn't score any runs the rest of the game. 

Junior pitcher Jake Long came on late in the game, pitching 4.1 dominant innings, giving up 0 runs, one hit, and striking out four. Both McGrady and Meinhofer earned a run for the Ranger side each batting 2-5. Rochon and Bitar also had matching offensive stats with one run each and both hitting 1-3.

The Rangers will visit Colorado Christian this weekend, with two games scheduled for both Friday and Saturday. Both days the games are scheduled for 12 and 3 p.m.
