DENVER, Colo. -  Junior Kat Crump earned her third shutout of the season as the Regis University women's soccer team (5-3-0, 2-2 RMAC) beat Colorado Christian (0-6-1, 0-3 RMAC).

It was evident that Regis was out to prove how good they truly are, bouncing back from an overtime loss to Colorado Mines on Friday. As the Rangers pushed the ball up the field, redshirt-junior Sade Akindele placed a through ball to the feet of senior Sid Otto who drilled her third goal of the season past the Cougar goalkeeper. 

The Rangers would carry their 1-0 lead into the second half before Otto blasted a shot from 20 yards out that beat the goalkeeper for her second goal of the match. RU wouldn't let up the pressure as they pushed the ball up the left side of the field, earning a free kick near the endline. Sophomore Akina Fujimoto stepped up and delivered a beautiful ball into the box that found the head of redshirt-senior Regan Bosnyak who powered the ball into the back of the net for her first goal of the season.

Returning between the posts for Regis, Crump collected her third straight shutout on the way to her fourth win of the season. Crump now has a goals against average of 0.49, and a save percentage of .857 to go along with a 4-0 record. 

Assists from Fujimoto and Akindele give them each two assists on the season while Otto collected her third and fourth goals of the season. Regis outshot CCU 21-4, putting seven of those shots on goal. RU took four corner kicks and limited the Cougars to only two. Twelve different Rangers took shots in the game with half of them putting shots on target.

The team will travel to Colorado Mesa to face the Mavericks on Friday October 2 at 7 p.m. followed by a trip to Westminster to take on the Griffins Sunday October 4 at noon. Live broadcasts of the game can be found on the schedule by clicking the video link next to the date of competiton.
