Coming off their first win at Fort Lewis in ten years, Regis continued to roll offensively, getting to work early in the game, jumping out to an 8-2 lead. The Rangers were not finished pushing the tempo offensively as a three-pointer from freshman Majestie Robinson hit nothing but net, and senior Bay'lee Purdy followed up with a layup pushing the RU lead to 20-4 with two minutes to go in the opening quarter. The Grizzlies managed to hit a shot from beyond the arc with the clock winding down, bringing the score to 22-7 after the first quarter of play.
Regis saw much of the same success in the second quarter, creating a bunch of ASU turnovers, and capitalizing on second chance points. After 14 minutes, the Rangers had collected eight offensive rebounds leading to nine second chance points. RU extended their lead to 23 points, 37-14, with four minutes to go in the second quarter. Three three-pointers from senior Jessica Ramos, and 11 points from Purdy contributed to the huge RU run. The largest lead of the first half came on a jumper from Robinson, putting Regis up 24 points 39-15. The Rangers enjoyed a 41-20 lead as the half came to an end, and both teams headed to the locker rooms to regroup.
At halftime, head coach Molly Marrin was asked about the first half offensive efficiency for RU, attributing it to the unselfish nature of the team, Marrin added, "we've been sharing the ball, making the extra pass, and it keeps leading to great opportunities for our shooters". Two minutes into the third quarter, senior Caresse Williams, Purdy, and Ramos nailed three straight shots from beyond the arc giving Regis a 50-20 lead. The Rangers remained in firm control of the game as they blew the game open with a 74-28 lead with 23 seconds left in the third quarter.
RU controlled every aspect of the game throughout the fourth quarter as they put the game out of reach early. Regis finished the game by holding the Grizzlies under 45 points. RU rolled to a 90-43 victory, shooting 53.2 percent from the field, including 11-28 from three-point land. The Rangers forced 25 ASU turnovers, and turned them into 43 points. The suffocating defense of RU held the Grizzlies to less than ten points in both the first and the third quarters. Ramos led all Regis scorers with 18, connecting on a season-high six three-pointers, and also dished out a game-high five assists. Purdy chipped in with 14 points and five assists, and junior Kaylie Rader added 13 points of her own. All eleven players scored points in the all-around team effort that saw the Rangers assist on 18 of their 33 made baskets.
