Box Score PUEBLO, Colo. – Regis women's soccer fell just short in a RMAC Tournament second round match up to Colorado State University-Pueblo, 3-2.
CSU-Pueblo wasted zero time netting a goal, putting one away just over eight minutes into the game.
The rest of the first half remained scoreless to head to halftime with the Rangers down, 1-0.
Sade Akindele responded for Regis just seven minutes into the second half placing one in the back of the net.
The ThunderWolves did not allow the tie to last long answering with a goal of their own just under five minutes later.Â
Not even seven minutes later, CSU-Pueblo struck again pushing their lead to 3-1.
Tori Rinsem was not done yet for the Rangers scoring a goal to bring RU to within one with a little over six minutes left of play.
Despite Rinsem's efforts the Rangers were not able to overcome the one goal deficit ending the game down, 3-2.Â
Catherine Anger led Regis with shots tallying five including two on goal.
Akina Fujimoto followed one behind in each category posting four shots and one on goal.
Kat Crump held down the goal for the match making two saves.
The Rangers finish regular season with a 8-8-3 record overall and 8-3-1 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
