Box Score SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Regis University women's soccer team battled from behind to score a late equalizing goal minutes before regulation. After 110 minutes of action, the Rangers will return to Denver after a 1-1 result against the Westminster College Griffins (6-1-1, 3-0-1.

The score remained locked at 0-0 through the first 45 minutes of play as RU slightly outshot the Griffins 4-3, three of which were on goal. A penalty kick was awarded to Westminster in the 68
th minute that gave the home team control of the lead, 1-0.

As the scoreboard kept creeping closer and closer to full time, the Rangers needed to find the equalizer to stay alive.
Maison O'Neill did just that; O'Neill netted her first goal of the season in the 88
th minute on a shot directly following a corner kick to even the score, 1-1. Cat Anger tallied her third assist on the goal to lead RU for the season.

The Griffins were active in the first overtime period taking two shots, both of which were on goal, and recorded two corner kicks. Regis held off Westminster pushing the game into the second overtime period. RU saw two corner kick opportunities of their own but neither proved successful as the whistle blew for the final time.

Despite dominating the first half, Regis was slightly outshot 10-8 led by two shots a piece from
Tori Rinsem and
Sade Akindele.
Kat Crump saw all 110 minutes of action between the posts for the Rangers making three saves on nine shots faced.

Regis returns home and will face Colorado Mesa on Sunday, October 2 at 12 p.m.
