Box Score DURANGO, Colo. – The Regis University men's basketball team (12-5, 6-5 RMAC) was back on the road Friday night and fell to the conference leading No. 21 Fort Lewis Skyhawks (16-3, 11-2 RMAC) 89-81.

Sophomore Jarrett Brodbeck (9-15 FG, 7-11 3-pt) and senior Dexter Sienko (10-18 FG) each scored 26 points in the effort but no other player recorded double-digit points leading to Regis' demise late in the game.

How It Happened: After jumping out to a quick 15-5 lead early in the game, a small 9-0 run allowed the home team to creep back into the game. At halftime, the Rangers found themselves ahead by five points 37-32 with Brodbeck scoring 16 points on 6-of-8 shooting from the field.

It was not until the 16-minute mark in the second half that the Skyhawks took their first lead 46-45. Preseason conference player of the year, Skyhawk senior Joshua Blaylock, scored 17 of his game-high 27 points in the second half, carrying his team to the eight-point win over RU.

The Rangers lost their edge in the second half as the bench was outscored 33-14, and they lost the battle in the paint 34-30. RU shot 41.8 percent on the night and knocked down 10 three-point jumpers. As a team, Regis held the home team to 5-of-15 shooting from beyond the arc, but they were outrebounded 33-26 by FLC. Sienko notched his second double-double of the year as he pulled down 10 boards.
