Box Score DENVER, Colo. – The Regis University men's basketball team (19-8, 13-8 RMAC beat the South Dakota School of Mines Hardrockers (12-15, 8-13 RMAC) by a score of 86-77 on Friday night. This is the most wins for Regis since the 1997-98 season in which the team won 20 games.

Sophomore Jarrett Brodbeck scored a game-high 25 on 7-of-10 shooting from beyond the arc and 8-of-13 overall. Freshman Christian Little added 15 of his own grabbing five boards and dishing out five assists. Junior Dexter Sienko finished the night with 12 points (6-10 FG) and 10 rebounds for his third double-double of the season.

How It Happened: The Rangers opened the game on fire shooting above 50 percent from both the field and distance in the first ten minutes. At the second media timeout, Regis had exploded to a 21-8 lead.

RU's offensive domination continued throughout the half as Troy Anderson lit the Fieldhouse on fire with a pair of back-to-back dunks. The Hardrockers decreased the deficit with help from a 13-0 late in the half bringing the score to 43-30. The Rangers headed into halftime with a convincing 45-30 lead.

SDSM&T appeared to be a different team at the start of the second half fighting to come within ten after just six minutes of play. A pair of Hardrockers free-throws brought RU's lead down to single-digits, 56-48.

The visitors remained in-sync on the offensive end putting together a 21-4 run completely diminishing the Ranger lead to a mere three points, 58-55. SDSM&T took their first lead of the game at the 8:54 mark, 64-63 but would not hold onto long as Regis quickly regained control.

Brodbeck drained four of his seven three's in the final seven minutes of the game to keep RU in control of the lead. South Dakota Mines never gave up battling through each possession as the Rangers executed on both ends of the court to earn the win and improve to 19-8 overall and 12-8 in the conference.

Game Notes: Regis shot the ball at a 51.6 percent clip, including 48 percent from beyond the arc. The team also knocked down 10-of-11 shots from the charity stripe while also outrebounding the visitors 33-31. The teams were even in three categories, points off turnovers (18-18), second-chance points (14-14), and points in the paint (34-34).

Next Up for the Rangers: The men's basketball team will seek their 20th win of the year, finishing out their regular season, against the Black Hills State University Yellow Jackets (8-18, 5-15 RMAC) tomorrow at 5:30 p.m. in the Regis Fieldhouse.
