Rangers compete in Ted Castaneda Cross Country Classic

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Regis men and women's cross country teams ran at the Ted Castaneda Cross Country Classic hosted by Colorado College on Saturday.

The men's team finished 5th overall while the women finished 7th.

On the women's side, senior Lily Saddoris led the Rangers, crossing the finish line with a time of 26 minutes, 6.2 seconds and finished 56th overall.

Fellow fourth-year McKenna Uhing was not far behind Saddoris, finishing 58th, with a time of 26:31.6.

Rounding out the women's team members in action on Saturday were McKenna Uhing, Mariah Heuer, Mikaela Taylor, and Ryann Sheehan.

The Regis women ran well together with Uhing, Heuer, and Taylor all finishing one after another. The three placed 58th, 59th, and 60th respectively. Uhing finished with a time of 26:31.6, Heuer crossed the line at 26:46.1, and Taylor finished with a time of 26:53.3. Ryann Sheehan was close behind and finished 63rd overall with a personal best time of 29:35.5.

For the men, freshman Eric Casey led the pack, finishing 76th overall and with a time of 28:30.5.

Third-year Judd Ogle finished second for the Rangers, finishing 91st overall with a time of 29:47.6.

Also in action for the Rangers was William Oakes, John Murphy, and Aaron Bennett. Oakes finished 97th overall with a time of 30:32.8. Murphy crossed the line at 31:20.4 and placed 100th overall. Bennett finished in 104th for the Rangers with a time of 39:41.0.

Up Next: The Rangers travel to Riverside, Calif. for the UCR Highlander Invitational on Oct. 15.
