DENVER, Colo. – The Regis University men and women's cross country teams ran in front of a home crowd on Saturday as they competed at the NCAA South Central Regional Championships on Saturday at Washington Park in Denver.
Freshman Eric Casey led the men's squad finishing 133rd overall while Lily Saddoris finished first for the women in 136th. Both squads placed 25th overall.
How It Happened: Casey finished first for the Rangers, finishing in 36 minutes, 13.8 seconds and Saddoris finished in 26:23.5.
Senior McKenna Uhing crossed second for the Regis women. Uhing finished in 26:31.8 and placed 140th overall. Not long after Uhing, senior Mikaela Taylor finished in 27:29 and placed 151st.
First-year Ryann Sheehan finished in 29:12.9 and 161st overall while freshman Adrianna Ventura Hill finished in 167th for the women and with a time of 35:59.8.
William Oakes, Judd Ogle, and John Murphy finished one after another in Wasington Park. Oakes finished in 39:47.2 and placed 159th overall. Ogle finished in 40:00.7 with a 160th place finish. Rounding out the pack of three was Murphy with a 161st place finish and a time of 40:17.8
Junior Aaron Bennett finished strong for the Rangers, finishing 164th overall and with a time of 43:36.2.
