DENVER, Colo. – The Regis University Men's Cross Country team competed in their second event of the season on Saturday morning, the Metropolitan State University-Denver Roadrunners Invitational, hosted in Washington Park. The Rangers took 11th out of 14 teams with 328 team points.
Colorado School of Mines won the team championship with 20 points, and Paul Knight of Mines claimed the individual title with a time of 24:22.93.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Eric Casey was the top performer for the Rangers, scoring 57 points by finishing in 27:02.51.
Quinn McKnight and Nathan Dyck finished close together, scoring 59 (27:15.02) and 60 (27:17.24), respectively. William Oakes added 73 points with his time of 28:19.52. Jordan Moon was the final scorer, with 79 and a mark of 28:52.66.
Carson Schuler and Kenoby Hetman also recorded finishes, with times of 29:05.16 and 29:16.38.
"Our men and women executed intelligent, inspired races today," said Head Coach Willie Moore. "It was great to be in the mix and best a few RMAC schools. The synergy pre- and post-race was excellent.
