DURANGO, Colo. – The Regis University Women's Soccer team was eliminated from the 2025 RMAC Championship tournament by Fort Lewis College (Colo.) on Sunday afternoon, 0-2. The No. 5 seed Rangers fall to 10-5-4 (6-3-3 RMAC), while the No. 4 seeded Skyhawks improve to 11-4-3 (7-2-2 RMAC), and advance to the semifinal round, hosted by regular season champs Colorado Mesa, and square off against the No. 1 Mavericks.
HOW IT HAPPENED
FLC started the match with two quick shots, the second saved by Helen Stegner. The next shot off the match would come nine minutes later from Natalie Bunch. Elsa Nolen and Fernanda Rodriguez added attempts of their own, but none were on target. Both defenses stepped up over the final 17 minutes of the half, each just allowing one shot by the other. Nolen took the shot for Regis, but her try was saved.
The Skyhawks came out of the break on fire, scoring their first goal one minute in, and adding a second in the 57th minute. Morgan Black attempted a shot, and Fort Lewis responded with three straight shots, two on goal, saved by Stegner. After 20 minutes of no shots by either team, the Rangers ended the match with three shots, one on target by Avery Van Natter, but the Rangers fell, 0-2.
