Rangers Run in Doug Max Invitational

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Regis University Women's Outdoor Track and Field team competed in the Colorado State University Doug Max Invitational on Saturday.

Lindsey Cure had the top finish of the day, taking 2nd in the Javelin Throw with a mark of 44.99m (147'7"). Bryn McNair was the other Ranger to record a mark in a field event, clearing 1.51m (4'11.5") in the high jump.

Four Rangers competed in the 100-meter dash. Madilyn Gifford posted a time of 14.38, Valeria Bustos finished in 15.13, Gaia Price in 17.72, and Amy Batista in 22.31. Gifford, Price, and Batista all set person bests.

Caitie Slattery had a strong meet, setting career bests in the 800 with a time of 2:24.79, and the 1,500 with a mark of 4:56.73. Alex Baer also had a PR in the 100-hurdles, finishing in 17.03. Allie Braney posted a time of 12:44.99 in the 3,000-steeplechase.

The Rangers return to action on Friday, May 9 at the Air Force Twilight Open
