Rangers Open Season at UCCS

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Regis University Men's Cross Country team ran in their first meet of the 2025 season, the 18th Annual University of Colorado Colorado Springs Rust Buster Meet, on Saturday morning.

The Rangers placed sixth out of six teams with 178 team points.

Colorado Christian University won the team title, and CCU's Matthew Storer was the individual champion.

Liam Chavez, running in his first collegiate meet, led the Rangers with a time of 27:12.2, finishing 57th and scoring 31 points. Lyon Craig was 68th (34 points) with a time of 27:32.7, and Carson Schuler followed him in 79th (36 points) and a mark of 28:08.2. John Murphy and Alex Sullivan were the final competitors for the Rangers, taking 94th (38 points, 29:56.5), and 97th (39 points, 30:33.3), respectively.

RU returns to action on Saturday, September 20 at the Metropolitan State University-Denver Roadrunners Invite at Washington Park in Denver.
