BOULDER, Colo. – The Regis University Women's Track and Field team opened 2026 at the CU-Boulder Potts Invitational. The meet was not scored.
On Friday, four Rangers competed in field events. In the Long Jump, Arabella Hebink placed 13th, posting her best jump on her second attempt with a mark of 4.75m (15'7"). She finished one spot better than her teammate, Dorothy Freeman, who also had her best mark on her second try at 4.71m (15'5.5").
In the Shot Put, Maria Martinez saved her best toss for her final attempt, with a mark of 8.75m (28'8.5"). Just behind her was fellow Ranger, Kimberly Salazar, starting with a throw of 8.47m (27'9.5").
Saturday's running events were highlighted by Allie Braney's 9th-place finish in the 3000m run, posting a time of 10:37.44. Caitie Slattery added a top-10 showing in the mile, finishing in 5:24.78. Three Rangers ran in the 800, led by Slattery's time of 2:22.5, followed by Mila Stamper (2:28.09), and Madilyn Gifford (2:31.00). Valeria Bustos rounded out the day in the 400, with a mark of 1:16.59.
The Rangers return to Boulder next weekend for the Colorado Invite, Jan 23-24.
