KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Intercollegiate Women's Soccer Organization of Coaches (IWSOC) in partnership with the United Soccer Coaches has released the week nine National Top 25 poll this morning with the Rangers finding themselves among the top teams in the country as they were revealed as the new No. 16 team in the nation.

This is the highest rank the Rangers have received this season with it also being the highest in program history since 2008 when they were No. 14 in the nation.

In addition, this is the fifth week in a row the Rangers have been represented in the polls with them earning votes three times and previously being ranked No. 22 on Oct. 6.

Regis is currently in the midst of one of their best seasons in recent history this year with them sitting at 14-2-1 (10-0-1 RMAC) and being undefeated in conference play. They have already clinched the regular season conference title as well with this being their first title since 2017 and seventh in program history.

With a win or a tie over Black Hills State tomorrow they will also finish the conference portion of their schedule undefeated which hasn't been done by the Rangers since 2017.

This past weekend the Rangers tied CMU 1-1 in their lone game with CMU's loss to UCCS prior to the matchup giving RU the conference title. Before the draw with the Mavericks, the Rangers held a 13-game winning streak which was the longest one in all of Division II this season.

Beyond the IWSOC polls, the third release of the NCAA Power Index (NPI) rankings also came out yesterday with Regis being the No. 22 team in the nation. They are the highest of any RMAC team with them also ranking fourth in the South Central Region to lead the conference.

These rankings play a significant factor in making the NCAA Tournament with only the top six teams from the conference making it, including the automatic qualifiers of each conference's tournament winner.
