HOW IT HAPPENED

Gallery and Bollwahn scored in the paint on back-to-back possessions to open the second and take the lead. While MSUD went on a short run to take back a five-point lead, the advantage flipped again after Gallery set up a Bollwahn three, and Mary Crossland assisted a Gallery triple. However, Venick went the length of the court for a Ranger jumper, giving the momentum back to RU, down 30-27 going into the break.

Gallery continued to to lead the offense with a jumper in the paint, and three assisted by Venick, while Bollwahn came up with a block for the Rangers, assisted Gallery, and hit a pair from the free throw line. The Roadrunners scored late in the period to bring the game within two going into the deciding quarter.
Early buckets by Gallery, Bollwahn, and Allison pushed the Ranger lead up to seven, and with just over five minutes to play, Bollwahn found Crossland for another three and an eight-point lead. MSUD went on a big run, forcing three turnovers and taking a two-point lead with 39 seconds left. Bollwahn kept the hot hand going, hitting a three that put Regis back in the lead with under 30 seconds.
