DENVER, Colo. – The Regis University Women's Cross Country team competed in the MSU-Denver Roadrunners Invite on Saturday morning, finishing eighth out of 10 teams with 200 points.
The University of Colorado-Boulder won with 15 points, led by the individual champion, Adrianna Buitelaar.
Leading the Rangers was Allie Braney, finishing 13th (10 points) out of 95 runners with a time of 23:00.95. This marks the best-ever finish for a Ranger at the meet.
Danzi Jones, running her first collegiate 6k, was the next RU finisher, taking 34th (31 points), finishing in 23:52.67.
Caitie Slattery took 61st (49) with a mark of 24:51.08, while Madi Gifford's time of 25:12.43 eared her 65th (51).
The final three Rangers finished close together, with Rosario Portillo posting a time of 26:44.88 (82nd, 59), Bella Marinaccio at 26:48.06 (83rd, 60), and Mila Stamper at 26:56.10 (84th, 61).
The Rangers now look ahead to the Fort Hays State University Tiger Open on October 10.
