DENVER, Colo. – The Regis University Men's Basketball team has officially released its 2026-27 schedule, featuring 16 games on the Rangers home court.
Head Coach Rex Walters (2-24) begins his second season at the helm of the program, and looks to build on last year with his first full recruiting class, featuring 13 new Rangers.
Returning from last year's squad are junior guard Logan Flores-Peoples, one of three players to appear in all 26 games, senior forward Matt Yost, who started 19 games, led the team with 24 steals, and ranked second with 5.4 rebounds per game, and senior forward Quinn Lambert, who missed most of last season due to injury. Sophomore guard Logan Boyer and 5th year forward Fallou Cisse joined the team at semester last year, but did not see any playing time.
The 13 new faces include nine incoming freshmen, and four transfers.
RU opens the season with an exhibition match at the University of Wyoming on November 3. They then open regular season play with three home games against University of Texas-Tyler (11/13), UT-Dallas (11/14), and a non-RMAC matchup with CSU-Pueblo (11/19). Regis plays one road game at Nebraska-Kearney on Nov. 22 to close out the non-conference slate.
The Rangers open RMAC play by hosting Colorado School of Mines on December 3, then go across town to MSU-Denver on the 5th. Regis follows that with a pair of road games at Fort Lewis (12/10) and New Mexico Highlands (12/12). Over winter break, the Rangers host Colorado Mesa for a non-conference bout on the 17th, travel to Northern Colorado for a DI exhibition on the 19th, then host non-RMAC games against South Dakota Mines (12/20) and New Mexico Highlands (1/2).
Back into conference competition, RU hosts Western Colorado on January 7th, and a rematch with Colorado Mesa on the 9th. They then travel to Chardon State on the 14th, and South Dakota Mines the 16th. When they return to Denver, they settle in with five of the next six matchups played in the Regis Fieldhouse. The Rangers host Colorado Christian (1/21), UCCS (1/23), MSU-Denver (1/28), travel to Colorado School of Mines (1/30), and host Adams State (2/4) and Fort Lewis (2/6).
February sees a road weekend at Westminster (2/11) and Western Colorado (2/13), followed by the final home weekend against the RMAC's reigning regular season and tournament champions Black Hills State (2/18) and Chadron State (2/20) before closing out the regular season at CSU-Pueblo (2/25) and Colorado Christian (2/27).
The RMAC Tournament is set for March 2-6, with the top eight seeds earning a bid.
