Regis University Athletics

Kyle Long enters into his second season at Regis University in 2016-17, and his third season under the direction of head coach Brady Bergeson and assistant coach Benjamin Kaufman. His main duties will include academic coordinator, perimeter player development, and assisting in recruitment.

Long joined forces with Bergeson and Kaufman at Western Oregon University (WOU) in the 2014-15 season as an assistant coach.

Prior to joining the staff at WOU, Long was the head coach for the freshman basketball team at Woodburn High School in Woodburn, Oregon.

A McMinnville native, Long enjoyed a four-year playing career for Western Oregon; Long’s last season was Bergeson’s first. The standout point guard scored 1,145 career points while playing in 108 games and starting in every game as sophomore, junior, and senior.

Long graduated from Western Oregon with a degree in exercise science and minored in sports management.
