McCall, retired from his position as the head men's soccer coach at the beginning of his 13th season in 2021, taking over head coaching duties for the men's and women's golf team.

Tony McCall is the All-Time Leader in Regis University men's soccer history with 132 wins in 195 matches. He boasts a .659 winning percentage, which is also the highest winning percentage among all of the coaches in Regis men's soccer history.

In the Fall of 2021, McCall helped the Rangers to yet another Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Tournament in the COVID-19 shortened 2020 season.

Under McCall's guidance in 2020, Regis won three of six contests, and two of three in the RMAC. The team qualified for the RMAC Tournament once again where they took on #2 CSU-Pueblo in the opening round. The Rangers prevailed 1-0 in double-overtime and advanced to the second round where they matched up with tournament host, #1 seeded Colorado Mesa University. RU fell to the Mavericks.

Juniors Kristian Hooker and Nick Mootz both garnered Academic All- American awards and the program once again earned The Brechler award for achieving the highest overall GPA of any Men’s Soccer program in the RMAC.

The 2019 season was a great season for the Rangers, culminating with an appearance in the 2019 RMAC Tournament Championship. Regis went 11-6-3 overall and posted a 9-4-1 record in the conference, earning the #2 seed in the postseason conference tournament. Regis defeated the #6 seed Fort Lewis College in the opening round of the RMAC Tournament 2-1, advancing to the RMAC Tournament Championship against #1 seeded Colorado School of Mines. RU and Mines had a battle for the ages in the tournament final, tying 1-1 after three bouts of overtime. Advancing to a penalty shootout, the Orediggers claimed the tournament championship winning 7-6 on penalties.

In 2018, McCall and assistant coach Taylor Diem led the Rangers to a 10-6-2 record overall and a 9-3-2 record in the RMAC. The Rangers entered the RMAC Tournament as the No. 4 seed, and this marked the ninth time under McCall’s tenure that the Rangers reached the RMAC Tournament.

This season was highlighted by a four-game win streak in which the Rangers outscored their opponents, 6-0.

Redshirt junior midfielder Joe Mansfield earned All-RMAC First Team honors, while John Halter, Porter Milner and Freddie Swales all earned All-RMAC Second Team accolades. Senior goalkeeper Chase Webert received All-RMAC Honorable Mention recognition.

The 2017 season featured a variety of key wins, including three straight to begin the season. McCall and his squad took down crosstown rivals, the MSU Denver Roadrunners, 2-1, in their only matchup during the season. A 4-0 win over Cal State Monterey Bay was the largest margin of victory of the season for RU, but it was a 1-0 win over CSU-Pueblo that clinched another RMAC Tournament berth for the Rangers, their third straight.                                                 Four players earned All-RMAC selections, of which two were named to the All-RMAC Second Team.

In 2016, McCall led the Rangers back to the NCAA Tournament to make the program's fourth appearance. RU closed out the season with the most wins since 2013 at an overall mark of 14-5 and 10-3-1 in the RMAC. Regis finished second in the conference, earning a first-round bye in the RMAC Tournament. The Rangers took down UC-Colorado Springs, 2-1, in the semifinal match but came up just short in the championship against Colorado Mesa, 1-0.

RU drew a No. 4 seed in the NCAA Tournament and matched up against No. 1-seeded St. Edward's in the second round. The Rangers closed out the season with a final national ranking of No. 22. Six players earned All-RMAC honors with three being named to First Team. Three players were also recognized on All-Region teams.

2015 saw two players earn All-RMAC honors, including senior Christian Nicolosi, who was a mainstay in between the posts for the Rangers for four seasons under the direction of McCall. Sophomore Sawyer Lincoln was named to the All-RMAC Second Team in his second season at RU.

McCall also had the privilege of coaching one of the program's most decorated players in Martin Maybin, who earned RMAC Player of the Year and Daktronics South Central Region Player of the Year. Maybin was the center of the Ranger attack and became Regis' all-time leading goal scorer on Oct. 1. The forward also put his name at the top of another record as the all-time leading points scorer. Maybin now holds both records with 53 career goals and 134 career points.

In 2013, McCall coached his squad to the NCAA Elite 8 and a 14-4-1 record. He was awarded for his team's success by earning his second straight RMAC and NSCAA South Central Region Coach of the Year awards.

The Rangers’ Elite 8 appearance is the farthest any Ranger men's soccer team has advanced in NCAA Tournament action. Under McCall, the Rangers earned a berth into the NCAA Tournament three out of four seasons up to this point, including the program's first-ever appearance in 2010.

RU took home the regular-season RMAC title in 2013 for the second straight season and advanced to the RMAC Tournament Championship game. The Rangers hosted the NCAA South Central/West Super Regional, where they dispatched Midwestern State (Texas), 2-1, in the round of 16 before running into Simon Fraser in the Elite 8.

The 2012 season was one for the ages as McCall guided the Rangers to a 17-2-1 overall mark, which included an 18-game unbeaten streak. The Rangers were ranked No. 1 for four straight weeks in the middle of the season, which marked the first time any Regis program has ever been ranked No. 1 nationally. The 2012 Rangers won the RMAC regular-season crown with a perfect 14-0 record but fell to Colorado Mines in the RMAC Tournament Championship game. It marks just the second time in RMAC men's soccer history that a team has gone undefeated in RMAC play.

The Rangers were subsequently the No. 1 seed in the South Central Region Tournament and advanced all the way to the NCAA Division II Sweet 16 for the first time in program history.

Following the season, McCall was awarded as the RMAC Coach of the Year and the NSCAA South Central Region Coach of the Year. Senior Taylor Diem earned numerous awards, including RMAC Defensive Player of the Year and First-Team All-America as well as a Second-Team All-America accolade.

Maybin was also a two-time All-America selection in 2012 with a second-team honor by NSCAA and a third-team honor by Daktronics. Logan Miller was the third All-America pick for Regis, earning third team by NSCAA.

The winning ways continued for Regis and McCall in 2011, his third season, with a 13-4-1 record, including a 10-3-1 RMAC record. The Rangers finished runner-up during the regular season in the RMAC. Anchoring the 2011 season was a potent offense that was ranked seventh nationally at NCAA Division II with 46 goals and a very solid defense that also ranked seventh nationally with 10 shutouts in 18 games.

McCall coached the RMAC Freshman of the Year in Miller while Kyle Emge, Diem, Ben Buhler and Stephen Reed all earned All-Region honors.

McCall's second season in 2010 was one of the most exciting seasons in Regis men's soccer history. The sophomore coach guided the Rangers to their first-ever NCAA Division II Tournament berth with a 14-3-4 record.

Under McCall, the Rangers finished with a 9-2-3 RMAC record in 2010, which resulted in a third-place finish during the regular season. The Rangers finished with a 7-2-1 home record but had an even better road record at 6-1-2, including a victory over then-top-ranked Colorado Mines.

Seniors Nathan Kafer and Gary Cole were each named to a number of All-America teams, while juniors Buhler and Emge joined Kafer and Cole on the NSCAA Scholar All-America team.

In McCall’s 12 previous seasons at Regis University, in addition to the All-Americans listed above, he helped to develop teams with numerous all-conference and all-region players.

McCall had one of the best rookie seasons of any coach in Regis history in 2009. He guided the Rangers to a 9-6-4 overall record and a 7-3-4 RMAC record. The Rangers finished fourth in the RMAC and earned a spot in the RMAC Tournament where they fell to eventual national champion Fort Lewis.

In 12 seasons at the helm of the Rangers, he has guided them to a 132-64-17 (.668) overall record, including an 99-39-13 (.698) RMAC record, which gives him the highest win percentage in Regis men’s soccer history. At home, the Rangers have a 68-27-7 (.714) mark under McCall.
