A right-handed third-baseman, Balliet lettered all four years in softball at Berthoud … Her team made it to the state softball tournament her freshman and junior year; her junior year they advanced to the final four … She accumulated some impressive numbers for her team over her four years, she played in 83 games and had a BA of .417 ... She was a force in the batters box as she had 91 RBI’s, 103 total hits and an impressive 17 home runs … She even garnered the attention of her hometown media as she was a four-time Berthoud Surveyor Athlete of the Week and won the Heart of the Spartan Award from the Berthoud Surveyor. She was also a three-time Reporter Herald All-Area athlete … Sophomore year, she was named  All-State Honorable Mention … Junior year, she was named to the All-State 2nd Team … In her final year of high school, she was again named to the All-State 2nd Team.
