Alexa Romero enters her second year as a Graduate Assistant for the Regis Rangers Softball team in the 2022-23 season.
Alexa is Colorado native. She just returned to Colorado after 5 years in New York at Syracuse University where she received her Bachelors of Science degree as well as a Certificate of Advance Study of Trauma-Informed Practice. She comes to us as a well decorated student athlete having finished her career with 786 strikeouts and a career 8.61 strikeouts per seven innings, which was at the top of the Division 1 pitchers in 2021 active leaders board. Alexa led the nation in 2018 with 10.9 strikeouts per seven innings, is a one time NFCA Mid-Atlantic Region selection, a three time All-ACC selection, a three time All-ACC Academic recipient, was named ACC Pitcher of the Week four times, she was selected for the 2017 All-ACC Freshman team and tossed the second perfect game in program history, with nine strikeouts. Â
Alexa is excited to be back in Colorado as she loves the outdoors and she cannot wait continue her education at Regis. She is looking forward to learning more of the coaching side of softball and to be able to share all that she has learned in her 15 year softball career.
