a 2018 graduate of Rampart High School in Colorado Springs, Colorado... was a four-year letterwinner in softball... as a senior, Shepherd posted a .515 batting average with 21 RBI's, 12 doubles, four triples and a home run... during her junior year, she hit .537 with 10 doubles and four home runs.. Shepherd earned All-Conference First Team in 2018, Second Team in 2017, and All-State Honorable Mention in 2016 and 2017.

Personal
Shelby is the daughter of Sherry and Mike Shepherd and has one brother, Brandon. Her father played professional baseball for the Atlanta Braves and her mother played collegiate tennis.
