Jessie Craig was hired as the Assistant Women's Basketball Coach on May 23, 2022. She comes to Denver after spending five seasons with the University of Alaska Fairbanks, a NCAA Division II institution from the Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC), including serving as the Nanooks interim head coach in 2021-22.
During her time as an assistant with the Nanooks, Craig was responsible for player development, scouting, managing day-to-day operations and coordinated strength and conditioning programs for the team.
Academically, the Nanooks had 23 players earn GNAC All-Academic honors during Craig's five years on the sidelines and her squad posted a cumulative GPA of 3.60 for the 2021-22 season.
A Fairbanks native, Craig played for her hometown team from 2007-2011 prior to launching her coaching career, earning her Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering in 2011.
Craig got her start in coaching at the high school level in Fairbanks, leading the West Valley High School varsity girls' basketball team from 2013-2017. She compiled a career record of 78-27 and led the team to three state tournament appearances; highlighted by a state runner-up finish in 2014-15.

During that same time, Craig also assisted the Lathrop High School boys' basketball varsity team from 2010-2014, where she helped facilitate practices while also developing strength and conditioning programs. During her time at Lathrop, the boys' team won three regional championships and had three state tournament appearances.Â
