Landon Lopez begins his second season with the Regis Women's basketball team in 2025-26.
Prior to Regis University, Lopez spent two seasons with the MSU Denver Men's basketball team, where in the 2023-24 season, he helped the Roadrunners improve to a 19-10 record, including victories over three nationally ranked opponents and guiding the team to achieve a national ranking of their own. Lopez has coached numerous All-RMAC players, solidifying his reputation as a strong developer of talent.
Before his time at MSU Denver, Lopez held multiple coaching roles at Trinity International University (Ill.), where he played a pivotal part in the development of NAIA All-American Brandon Lawani, All-CCAC second-team selection Brandon McQueen, and Leon Williams, all of whom signed professional contracts. He was actively involved in recruiting, scouting, game-time decisions, and operations.
Lopez holds a master’s degree in organizational leadership from Trinity International University and earned a bachelor's degree in communications from Colorado State University in 2020, where he also served as a student manager for the Rams' men’s basketball team under head coach Niko Medved.
From 2016 to 2018, Lopez was a varsity assistant and sophomore head coach at Grandview High School in Aurora, Colo., helping the team win the Colorado Class 5A state championship in 2018. He also coached at Eaglecrest High School from 2014-16, contributing to a Class 5A semifinal appearance in 2015 and a runner-up finish in 2016.
Additionally, Lopez coached the 16U Colorado Miners team for three seasons.
