Marquelle Dent

Marquelle Dent enters her second season with Regis University as a graduate assistant in 2020-21. Dent spent the 2018-19 season coaching club basketballĀ for the Wyoming Beasts as well asĀ coaching the junior varsity team at Cheyenne Central High School. Prior to working at CCHS, Dent worked with the Laramie County Golden Eagles women's basketball program.

Originally from Laramie, Wyo., she played out her basketball career at the University of Wyoming and Regis Jesuit High School in Aurora, Colo.

During her collegiate years at the University of Wyoming, Dent was a two-timeĀ All-Mountain West Conference First Team selection, while also making two appearances on the All-Defensive Team. She was also named to the 2015 Women'sĀ Basketball CoachesĀ Association (WBCA) Division IĀ Coaches' Honorable Mention All-America Team. Dent is the only player in UW women's basketball history with 1,000 points, 500 assists, and 175 steals.

She graduated from UW in 2016 with a bachelor's degree in communications. Following graduation, she continued her basketball career overseas, playing professionally in 2016 for Madeira, Portugal.
