Harris begins his third season in 2017-18 as the top assistant under women’s basketball head coach Molly Marrin. Harris began his duties in summer 2015.
Harris came to Regis from Metropolitan State University of Denver after six seasons as an assistant with the men’s basketball program. During his time at MSU Denver, Harris compiled a record of 161-33 while having the opportunity to coach two National Players of the Year, five All-Americans, three Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Players of the Year, and 13 All-RMAC performers. Harris currently has seven former players playing professionally.
Harris helped guide MSU Denver to the 2013 NCAA Division II National Championship game, the 2014 Final Four, and the 2012 Elite Eight. Harris also saw four regular season RMAC titles and three RMAC Tournament championships while at Metro State.
In addition to team and player accolades, Harris has gained much coaching knowledge and experience under Brannon Hays in the 2009-10 season, currently an assistant at Loyola Marymount, and Derrick Clark from 2010-2015, who was named the National Coach of the Year in 2013.
Prior to MSU Denver, Harris spent two seasons as a varsity boys’ basketball assistant at Chaparral High School in Parker, Colo. Harris has also coached in the club setting for the Colorado Hawks from 2007-2009 and for B&B Basketball Academy from 2010-2015.
Harris earned his undergraduate degree in Human Performance and Sport from MSU Denver in 2011 and a Master’s in Athletic Administration from Concordia University-Irvine in 2012.
