Chris Powers joined the Rangers coaching staff in October of 2024, bringing with him a pedigree of national accomplishments.

Powers attended Indiana University from 1999-2004, where he was a First-Team All-American in 2003, leading the Hoosiers to a 12th place finish at the national meet. He was also a two-time First-Team All-Big Ten recipient, a two-time team captain, and three time Academic All-Big Ten selection.

Chris broke Bob Kennedy's 5000m school record as a sophomore (13:59), leading to a 12th place finish at the 2002 NCAA Indoor National Championships. He earned First-Team All-America honors at the 2004 NCAA Outdoor National Championships, finishing 9th. His outdoor 5000m time of 13:48 still places him in the top ten all-time at IU.

He holds Personal Records of 1500m: 3:44, 3k: 8:06, 5k: 13:48, and 10k: 28:59

He graduated from IU with three majors (Computer Information Systems, International Business, Management) and a Music minor.

After serving as Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers Management Consulting, being a founding partner of Powers Consulting, and living on four different continents, Powers moved to Denver in May of ’24.
