Alex Schultz

Alex Schultz enters his second season as assistant coach under head coach J.B. Belzer at Regis University in 2019. Schultz was a graduate assistant with the women's soccer program in 2016 and 2017.

Schultz most recently spent time as a United Soccer League (USL) Soccer Development Intern with Sporting Kansas City in Kansas City, Mo. Prior to the internship with Sporting Kansas City, Schultz served as the women's soccer student assistant at NCAA Division I Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colo.

Schultz's coaching experience comes from his days coaching youth soccer across the state of Colorado on clubs such as Arsenal Colorado, Colorado Storm FC and Real Colorado.

From 2013-15, Schultz was the head coach of the Liberty Commons High School women's junior varsity soccer team. He also served the role of strength and conditioning coach for the team during his time.

Schultz holds a master of arts in sport coaching and athletic administration from Regis University. He graduated from CSU with a bachelor of science in health and exercise science with a concentration in health promotion.

Schultz holds both a USC Premier Coaching Diploma and a USSF National "D" Coaching License.

Belzer added this about Schultz in 2018, "Alex Schultz arrives to our program fresh from an internship with Major League Soccer (MLS) side Sporting KC. A Colorado State University graduate in health and exercise science, Alex cut his teeth in college women's soccer under the guidance of the Colorado State women's soccer program staff, where he volunteered for the past two seasons. His attention to detail, his organization, and his competency in coaching will combine well with his background in physiology and performance analysis."
