Eckhardt enters into her second season as a member of the volleyball coaching staff in 2017. Eckhardt is a former All-RMAC setter for Regis playing from 2007-2010.
Since graduating from Regis in 2011, Eckhardt has been teaching fifth grade and coaching various sports at Valley High School in Gilcrest, Colorado with a short stint as a long-term sub in a kindergarten classroom in Denver. Her coaching experience includes six years of volleyball, three in girls’ basketball and two in track and field.
During her time at Valley, Eckhardt was the volleyball varsity assistant for five years and headed the junior varsity team in her last year. She was a part of the volleyball coaching staff that helped guide the team to a 3A state championship and four runner-up finishes. On the basketball staff, she was the varsity assistant for one year and head coach of the “C” team for two years. Eckhardt also served as the Professional Learning Community facilitator and was a member of the leadership team for two years.
While at Regis, Eckhardt joined the rankings of an already impressive list of setters as one of the program’s elite as she currently still ranks third in the all-time record books for assists with 4,665. Eckhardt earned All-RMAC honors through each of her years as a Ranger: All-RMAC Second Team in 2010, All-RMAC Third Team in 2008 and 2009 and All-RMAC Honorable Mention in 2007. Eckhardt was also a member of the 2008 team that won the first RMAC Tournament title since 1998 while also advancing to NCAA postseason play for the program’s 16th time.
