Erin Choice enters into her fifth year in 2020-21 as Regis University's head strength and conditioning coach while also performing teaching duties for the Health and Exercise Science program in the School of Physical Therapy as a faculty professor. Erin’s specific teaching discipline is in exercise physiology, functional anatomy and exercise prescription. Erin primarily works with Women’s Soccer, Women’s Volleyball, Softball, Women’s Golf and Men’s Golf.
Choice, formerly Connolly, came to Regis after a year as an exhibit and conference coordinator for the National Strength and Conditioning Association World HQ. While with the NSCA, Choice assisted with the organization of four national-level and regional-level conferences, instructed the coaching fundamental lifts course, taught workshops within the internship program, and created partnerships with leading companies in the field for exhibitions and sponsorships. Choice currently continues to facilitate “Coaching Fundamental Lifts” courses for the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
In addition to her work with the NSCA, Choice spent time over this last year as a contracted strength coach for the United States Olympic Training Center and as the head strength and conditioning coach for Pikes Peak Athletics. Her duties at the USOTC consisted of leading the strength and conditioning camp for the U.S. Ski and Snowboard team and assisting with performance testing of the U.S. Figure Skating combine.
Prior to the NSCA, USOTC and Pikes Peak Athletics, Choice served as the fitness department manager for three years at the Florida Atlantic University Campus Recreation Center in Boca Raton, Fla. As a manager, Choice supervised 70 group fitness instructors, personal trainers and fitness center attendants while creating and implementing a nutrition services department. She also led the hands-on personal trainer prep course via ACE curriculum to help give students the tools and hand-on experiences to successfully pass the ACE certification exams.
Choice is a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the NSCA and is also a nutrition specialist through the American Academy of Sports Dieticians and Nutritionists. In addition, Choice is certified USAW Level 1, a tactical strength and conditioning facilitator through the NSCA, and a certified personal trainer through the NSCA.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Sciences and Health Promotion from Florida Atlantic University in 2013 and obtained her Master of Science in Exercise Physiology in 2015, also from FAU. Choice is currently pursuing her PhD in Health and Human Performance from Concordia University – Chicago.
