The 2014 season marks Tarnoczi's second season as a studentassistant within the men's soccer program.
He spent the 2012 season as a Ranger, scoring nine goals,including three game-winners, and assisting on seven others for 25points in his senior campaign. Then-forward Tarnoczi wasnamed All-RMAC First Team, NSCAA All-Region Second Team andDaktronics All-Region Second Team.
Before coming to RU, he spent three seasons at University ofDenver in Denver, Colo. In his 2011 campaign, he scored twogoals and assisted on three others. As a sophomore, he scoredthree goals while starting in all 20 games. Throughout hiscareer, he was named All-MPSF Second Team, MPSF Newcomer of theYear and scored 12 goals while assisting on 11 others in his threeseasons on the roster.
A 2009 graduate of Rock Canyon High School in Highlands Ranch,Colo., he earned Colorado Class 4A Player of the Year statusfollowing his senior campaign. He was named All-State FirstTeam and led his team to an undefeated, 15-0-3, Class 4A StateChampionship in 2008. In his senior campaign, the forwardnotched 34 goals and 10 assists helping him finish his high schoolcareer as RCHS all-time leading scorer. Ranked #7 nationallyby Top Drawer Soccer in the 2009 class, he was also named ColoradoGatorade Player of the Year in 2008-09.
Born in Canton, Ohio, Tarnoczi has two sisters, Tarrah andTiffany. His father Alex Tarnoczi Sr. played professionalsoccer.
