Kelly McLaughlin begins her eighth year at Regis University. The 2017-18 school year marks her third as Associate Director of Athletics for Compliance and Student Services and prior to that she held an assistant athletic director title. McLaughlin heads the student-athlete services and compliance department, while also being an integral part of the overall administration of Regis athletics. McLaughlin is designated as the Senior Woman Administrator at Regis, where she began her duties on August 3, 2010.

McLaughlin is two years in as a member of the NCAA's Division II Legislation Committee, a four-year appointment. As a member of the committee, McLaughlin is charged to review current and draft proposed legislation to further the brand of NCAA Division II. 

McLaughlin served on a number of committees in her first season at Regis including the Denver Public Schools student engagement initiative, the Regis University reporting data group and the NCAA institutional self study. McLaughlin had been the head athletic trainer at Bishop Machebeuf High School in Aurora, Colo. since 2008 before being hired in 2010, while concurrently being employed as a transportation security officer at Denver International Airport. Prior to those positions McLaughlin was part of the athletic department at RMAC-foe Colorado Christian University from 2000-2008.
 
She began her tenure at CCU as the Cougars head athletic trainer and quickly moved into the associate athletic director role. McLaughlin exclusively supervised six sports as well as the athletic training program. She did a variety of jobs including but not limited to: fundraising, NCAA, compliance and eligibility, student-athlete academic coordination, and NCAA and RMAC reporting.
 
Some of McLaughlin’s main responsibilities will be to monitor NCAA, RMAC and Regis compliance for all 12 sports. She will also monitor and track recruiting and do all reporting for the above three entities. McLaughlin will also be instrumental in student-athlete services and serve as a liaison between athletics and student services on campus.
 
McLaughlin earned her athletic training degree from Metropolitan State College of Denver in 1995 as well as a secondary English education degree.

McLaughlin and her husband Jim reside in Arvada.
