Nick Winder

Nick Winder is finishing his first season as assistant men'sbasketball coach. Winder was hired on as interim assistant coachfor most of the season before Regis Head Coach Lonnie Porter namedhim the full-time assistant coach.

Winder was a two-year letterwinner for the Ranger men's basketballteam from 2005-07. During the 2006-07 season, Winder was named RMACEast Division Honorable Mention accolades. He averaged 9.1 pointsper game and pulled down 5.1 rebounds per contest. He led the teamin assists (85) and blocked shots (26).

The Orem, Utah native spent his first two years at Western WyomingCommunity College in Rock Springs. He garnered all-conference andall-region accolades following his sophomore season at WesternWyoming.

A 2003 graduate of Ogden High School, Winder received Region MVPfollowing his junior season, where he helped lead his team to arunner-up finish in the region.

"I look forward to working with Nick," says 31st-year head coachLonnie Porter. "Nick is a tireless worker and being a former playerhe knows our system and the expectations that are put upon ourprogram."

Winder will help with day-to-day operations of the program and willbe an integral part of the recruiting process. He will also serveas the strength and conditioning coach for the Ranger men'sbasketball team.
