Philip Piech joined the Regis University staff as the Assistant Athletic Director of Facilities in February 2020 and shifted to Assistant Athletic Director of Operations in 2024. He came to Regis after spending three-and-a-half years as the Facilities and Operations Coordinator at San Diego State University. He oversees all Regis athletics facilities and assists in the game management of all home Regis athletic events.
While as SDSU, he served as the game manager for women’s and men’s soccer, softball, track and field, water polo, and swimming and diving. He was also the on-site game manager for the Mountain West Conference women’s soccer tournament from 2014-16 and was the transportation coordinator for the 2018 NCAA men’s basketball first round tournament held in Viejas Arena.
Philip started his career in collegiate athletics as the Facilities and Operations Assistant at the University of Cincinnati where he assisted staff in game operations for all home games, campus events, and outside facility rentals. He also served as the game manager for women’s lacrosse and assisted as game manager for men’s and women’s soccer.
After graduating from Xavier University, Philip then traveled to Wake Forest University where he served as the Event Operations Assistant at the Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum. He assisted in the game management for all home basketball games and helped managed other outside events such as concerts, graduations, and other large events.
A native of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Philip earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training from the University of New Mexico in 2011 and his Masters Degree in in Sports Administration from Xavier University in 2014.
Philip currently resides in Arvada, Colo.
