Colorado Springs, Colo.: For the second time
this season junior pitcher Bianca Holley has been named the RMAC
Softball Pitcher of the Week. Holley helped the Rangers to a
four-game sweep of Nebraska-Kearney last weekend with three wins.
Holley, from Arvada, Colo., had a say in all four win for Regis
notching three wins and earning a save in the other win. She
started the weekend throwing a complete game, a 8-1 win, allowing
just one run (unearned) on three hits while fanning eight Lopers.
In game two of Friday's doubleheader, she held UNK hitless
and scoreless in 3 1/3 innings of work while fanning four more
batters. She started Saturday with a yet another complete game
(10-1 win), giving up just one run on two hits. She finished the
series pitching one inning and allowing one hit and no runs earning
herself the save. In four games and 16 1/3 innings on the mound,
she struck out 18 batters, allowed six hits and two runs (one
earned) and posted a 0.43 ERA.
Holley leads the Rangers with six victories this season and
leads the RMAC in both innings pitched (104.0) and strikeouts
(128). She has thrown 10 complete games this season and
opponents bat just .249 against her.
Holley and the Rangers travel to take on Chadron State in
Chadron, Neb. for a four-game series that begins at 12:00 p.m. on
Saturday afternoon.
