Box Score Denver, Colo.: #10 Nebraska-Kearney was too
much for the Regis Ranger volleyball team in a 3-0 Loper win.
UNK won by scores of 25-19, 25-18, 25-18 to drop Regis to 8-6
overall and 4-2 in RMAC action.
Regis just never got on track tonight as they hit just .087 for
the match and nothing better than .182 for any one set. On
the flip side, UNK (14-3, 6-0 RMAC) was able to hit .231 with their
lowest for one set .216.
Freshman Christy
Henzgen was the lone Ranger in double figure kills with 12 in
42 attempts. Seniors Kerry Grady and Jessica Howe
each chipped in with five kills apiece. Grady was the top
attacker hitting on .200 for the match.
Freshman Sage Martinson
again topped the Rangers with 11 digs, while sophomore Jordan Hughes
collected 10. Senior Devin Eckhardt
had 26 assists to go along with nine digs. Junior Lyz Kann had a
match-high four blocks helping the Rangers to a seven to four
advantage on the Lopers.
Regis will look to snap their two-match losing streak as they
host 2-12 Chadron State tomorrow afternoon at 4:00 p.m.
