Box Score Las Vegas, N.M.: The Regis Ranger volleyball
team was very efficient in a 3-0 dispensing of New Mexico Highlands
in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference action. Regis had a
season-low nine attack errors for a season second best .318 attack
percentage.
Regis, (13-7, 8-3 RMAC) got 12 kills from freshman Christy
Henzgen winning by scores of 25-19, 25-12, 25-15. Senior Jessica Howe
contributed eight kills (8-0-14) for a .571 attack percentage, with
sophomore Caitlin
McDonnell chipping in with six.
Freshman libero Sage Martinson
led all players with 14 digs, while Henzgen just missed a
double-double with nine digs. Senior Devin Eckhardt
had 28 assists and added six digs. McDonnell helped the
Ranger defense limit New Mexico Highlands to a .061 (28-22-98)
attack percentage with a match-high five blocks.
For the third straight match the Ranger defense had no receiving
errors.
Regis will finish their three-match weekend road trip with a
short trip down to Pueblo to take on CSU-Pueblo on Saturday
evening.
