Box Score Denver, Colo.: The Ranger volleyball team dropped the first set to Western New Mexico but came back with a vengenance to win the next three sets and take the match.
Regis, 15-5 and 7-3 in the RMAC, fell in set one 25-19 before putting away Western New Mexico (10-8, 6-4 RMAC) 25-14, 25-11 and 25-19.
WNMU hit .195 in the first set but hit -.129, -.057 and -.029 each of the next three sets as Regis limited yet another opponent under .100 at .007.
Regis led 19-17 in the first set but the Mustangs finished the set with eight straight points to take set one.
Three Rangers were in double figures in kills led by Kyndell Highland's second straight 18 kill performance. She hit .333 and has hit .308 over the last three matches with a 3.77 kill per set average over the same time.
Freshman Gina Morgan had a career-high 13 kills and had just one error in 20 attacks for a .600 attack percentage. She also tied a career high with seven blocks including one solo. Junior Caitlin McDonnell also hit well hitting at a .529 clip with 10 kills, just one error in 17 attacks.
Sophomore Sage Martinson flirted with a triple-double posting 19 assists, 12 digs and six blocks. Freshman Aubrey Podschweit led the Rangers with a career-high 27 assists, while senior Cassidee Young tallied 15 more digs.
The Rangers return to action Friday night as they host surprising New Mexico Highlands at 7:00 p.m.
