Denver, Colo.: The 25th-ranked Regis University volleyball team dropped two matches at the Colorado Premier Challenge.

Florida Southern came from two sets down to beat the Rangers in five sets.  In the nightcap, Regis took on four-time defending national champs and #1 Concordia-St. Paul and fell in three highly competitive sets.

Regis (5-2) took the first two sets by scores of 25-23 and 25-15 and dropped the next three sets by scores of 19-25, 12-25 and 12-15.  Senior middle Lyz Kann had a match-high 15 kills, while also hitting at a .480 clip.  Freshman Gina Morgan had just one error in 12 attempts and laid down nine kills for a .667 attack percentage.

Fellow freshman Jessica Wojcik popped in 10 kills and also had 10 digs.  Kann had three blocks to pace the Rangers, while sophomore setter Sage Martinson had a match-high 47 assists and 16 digs to go along with three service aces, all in a row in set two.

Regis fell to Concordia-St. Paul in front of a rowdy crowd at the heated Regis Fieldhouse by scores of 15-25, 19-25 and 24-26.

The Rangers were limited to just a .136 attack percentage against the deep Golden Bears.  Senior Kyndell Highland notched her Regis career high with 15 kills, while sophomore Christy Henzgen was not far behind with 13.  Senior Cassidee Young tallied a match-high 14 digs, while Morgan registered a team-high four blocks.

Regis will play tomorrow morning at 9:30 a.m. at Metro State against Nebraska-Omaha.
