COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Regis Cross Country competed in the Colorado College Invitational Saturday morning.
Carl Nelson finished first for the men's team in a time of 27:47.
Kian Hartley was next in at 28:32.
Sean Ankarlo was just behind in 28:46 and
Emilio Tovilla had a finish of 29:09.
Vincent Frazier,
John Malone,
Paul Armstrong, and Evin Sanchez all finished within a minute of each other beginning at 29:29.
Scott Kordziel rounded it out for the men.
As a team the Rangers finished in fifth.
On the women's side,
Amanda Martinez ran a 25:24 and finished first for Regis.
Christina Kennedy finished just a second slower.
Katherine Pappas crossed in third for the Rangers and
Emily Perez was only two seconds behind with a time of 26:06.
Claire Wilson and
Paloma Farkas followed a similar trend to the teammates before them, Wilson finishing at 26:09 and Farkas 26:10.
Jennifer VanEtten was next at 27:57 and
Audrey Jawor at 28:01. Samantha Holland and
Elizabeth Kelly were the last pair to cross followed by
Theodora Zastrocky.
The women's team also finished in fifth.
The next outing for Cross Country is a trip to Gunnison for the Mountaineer/Cowboy Invite. Race time is set for 8 a.m., September 17.
