GUNNISON, Colo. - Men's and Women's Cross Country recorded a sixth place finish Saturday afternoon at the Mountaineer/Cowboy Invite.
Sean Ankarlo led the way for the men's team recording a time of 29:36.
Emilio Tovilla followed shortly behind with a 29:45.
John Malone was next in 29:57. Evin Sanchez,
Vincent Frazier, and
Scott Kordziel finished out the men's team runners.
The men charted a sixth place finish with an average time of 30:00.
For the women
Amanda Martinez crossed first for the Rangers in 20:42 and in 28
th place overall.
Christina Kennedy was next recording a 21:28 finish.
Claire Wilson and
Emily Perez finished three seconds apart with 21:48 and 21:51.
Katherine Pappas followed behind crossing at 22:02.
The next four Regis runners crossed one after another with
Haley Rach at 23:00,
Jennifer VanEtten at 23:03,
Audrey Jawor at 23:06, and Samantha Holland at 23:15.
Theodora Zastrocky finished it up for the Rangers recording a 24:45.
The team's average time was a 21:35 earning a sixth place finish.
The next competition for the Rangers is October 1 at 8 a.m. The race will take place in Denver for the MSU – Denver Roadrunners Invitational.
