COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Regis University Cross Country kicked off their season September 2 at the Rust Buster Quadrangular.
On the men's side Carl Nelson led the team with a tenth place finish and a time of 20:54. Fellow senior, Sean Ankarlo, finished in 28th and a time of 21:53.
Paul Armstrong finished in 36th with a time of 22:17. Vincent Frazier ended with a time of 22:27; Evin Sanchez completed in 23:08 and to round it out for the Rangers, Scott Kordziel finished with a time of 23:59.
As a team, Regis men finished in fourth.
On the women's side, Amanda Martinez finished 15th in a time of 16:16. Haley Rach came in second for the Rangers with a time of 16:51 and 26th place.
Katherine Pappas finished in 16:57 with Christina Kennedy just behind in 17:01.
Claire Wilson ended with a time of 17:28. Teammates, Emily Perez, Jennifer VanEtten, Audrey Jawor, Samantha Holland, and Theodora Zastrocky rounded out the group for the Rangers.
The women finished in fourth for the outing.
The Rangers next race is scheduled for Sept. 10 at the Colorado College Invitational at Colorado Springs, CO. Start time is scheduled for 8a.m.
