DENVER, Colo. – The Regis University men's basketball team (3-0) earned their third win in a row with a 98-74 throttling of the Johnson and Wales University Wildcats (0-6) on Wednesday night.
How It Happened: Regis dominated in every aspect of the game and at halftime they enjoyed a 13-point cushion 47-34. Junior
Jarrett Brodbeck (20 PTS, 6-10 FG, 6-10 3-pt) had his best half of the season scoring 11 points on 3-of-4 shooting from beyond the arc, knocking down two free-throws as well.
Coming out of the halftime break, the Rangers looked to extend their lead, but they had a hard time doing so as the Wildcats kept clawing their way back into the game. JWU whittled the lead down to as little as 10 points, 72-62, with 8:14 to go in the game.

Tomas Auruskevicius (6 PTS, 2-4 FG, 2-4 3-pt) nailed a three-point shot, senior
Dexter Sienko (14 PTS, 7-11 FG, 5 BLK, 6 AST) cashed in a two layups and senior
Ty McGee (8 PTS, 3-6 FG, 2-2 FT) slammed home a vicious dunk to cap off a 9-0 run for the home squad, putting them ahead by 81-62.
A few minutes later the lead ballooned to as many as 24 point when junior
Ryan Beisty (11 PTS, 4-7 FG, 3-6 3-pt) tipped-in a rebounded shot right after another layup from Sienko. Regis cruised their way to the 98-74 victory when the buzzer sounded.
Game Notes: The Rangers shot an impressive 53.7 percent (36-67 FG) from the field including an incredible 16-of-34 from beyond the arc. Redshirt-sophomore
Taffy Tela recorded a season-high 11 points going 4-of-7 from the field, knocking down three shots from long range and grabbing a career-high six rebounds. Sophomore
Christian Little (4-10 FG) had nine points and a game-high seven assists in the game.
The RU bench scored 36 points and the team had nine second chance points to go along with 40 points in the paint and 23 points off turnovers. Their largest lead was 26 points at the 2:48 mark of the second half.
Next Up for the Rangers: The men's basketball team will have a lengthy break before they return to the court. The team will host the University of North Georgia on Friday, November 24 at 7 p.m. before a home meeting with Northwest Nazarene University the following night November, 25 at 5 p.m.
