DENTON, Texas – The Regis University women's basketball team (0-3) had difficulties scoring as they collectively shot 31 percent from the field in their second game of the Best Western Premiere Pioneer Classic. Tarleton State University (3-2) shot 44 percent as a team on their way to outscoring Regis 55-42 on Sunday afternoon.
How It Happened: The Rangers gave up the first six points of the game before sophomore
Jaz'Myne Snipes scored the first Regis bucket four minutes into the contest. The Rangers played the entire game from behind after going down 14-2 in the first quarter.
RU scored the last five points of the first quarter behind a layup by senior
Mary Sigler and a three-pointer by junior
Morgan Ducklow to end the quarter 14-7.
TSU ended the half on a 10-0 run and scored 19 second quarter points to take a 33-20 halftime lead.
Regis found themselves down by as many as 17 in the third quarter. They went on a 9-0 run of their own in the fourth quarter to cut the deficit to eight but were unable to get any closer.
GAME NOTES: RU shot just 31 percent (16-51) from the field and 19 percent or 4-for-21 from three-point range. The Rangers didn't have any scorer in double-digits but junior
Majestie Robinson accounted for nine points while shooting 4-for-12.

Shelby Espinosa grabbed a team-high nine rebounds while freshman
Whitney Jacob and Sigler each added seven.
Regis won the turnover battle 11-15 but were called for 24 personal fouls compared to TSU's 14. Senior
Chante Church fouled-out in her 22 minutes of play.
Next Up for the Rangers: The women's basketball team will return home and host Pittsburg State University on Friday, November 24 at 5 p.m.
