DENVER, Colo. - The No. 14 ranked Regis University women's lacrosse team (15-2, 8-1 RMAC) finished their regular out with a 20-6 blowout win against the Colorado State University Pueblo ThunderWolves (5-10, 3-6 RMAC) on Sunday afternoon.

Erin Todd led the offensive charge scoring a team-high four goals and junior
Jada Bonner had a great overall performance scoring one goal, grabbing four ground balls, winning four draw controls and adding two caused turnovers.
How It Happened: Regis opened the game scoring the first three goals of the game before CSU Pueblo made it onto the scoreboard. Another three-goal run from the Rangers put them up 6-1 with 21:24 to go in the first half.
At halftime RU had built an 11-3 thanks to a goal from Todd with under one minute on the clock. Sophomore
Sarah Myres had already tallied two assists and the always stingy Regis defense allowed only seven shots of which only four made it on goal.
The second half saw that same tough defense from the Rangers limit the ThunderWolves to only six shots. Freshman
Ali Vanek netted her second goal of the game early in the second half, and the scored her third with just under 11 minutes to go in the game, putting RU ahead of the home team 17-6.
Regis closed out the game on a 7-0 run that saw freshman

Anna Takushi blast shots past the goalkeeper to go up by 14 goals, 20-6 before the horn sounded.
Game Notes: The Rangers outshot their opponents 33-13 on the day including a shots on goal margin of 24-9. The team converted on 12-15 of their clear attempts, tracked down three more ground balls than CSU Pueblo (19-16), and doubled up in the draw control category 18-9 over the home squad.
Three players scored three goals in the game including Vanek, Takush and junior
Rachael Walker. Myres chipped in with one goal as she and Walker shared a game-high three assists. Walker's six points tied a season-high which she collected in a game against the ThunderWolves that opened the season. Freshman
Court Huston (W, 5-1) spent 30 minutes in goal making one save and allowing three goals while junior
Kenley Harrington allowed three goals, making one save, in her 16:13 between the pipes. Sophomore
Hope Correia spent the last 13:47 as the goalkeeper making one save and not allowing a goal.
Next Up for the Rangers: The No. 14 ranked Regis University women's lacrosse team has earned the right to host the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Tournament as the highest ranked Colorado team in the conference. The tournament will begin on Thursday with RU earning a first-round bye as the overall No. 2 seed and will play in the semifinal game on Friday, May 5 at 1 p.m.
