LAKEWOOD, Colo. – The Regis University women's basketball team (12-9, 11-5 RMAC) completed a regular season sweep over Colorado Christian University (6-15, 4-12 RMAC) on Saturday afternoon with an 84-58 triumph.
How It Happened: Regis played from behind for the first minute of the contest, but back-to-back three-pointers by senior
Chante Church gave the Rangers a 6-4 lead that they would never relinquish. RU started the game with four straight buckets from downtown and led by as many as seven with 3:10 left in the opening quarter.
The Cougars tied the game at 19 just 35 seconds into the second quarter. Regis answered with a 7-0 run behind five points by Church. The Rangers closed the half with two three-pointers in the final minute by junior

Morgan Ducklow. RU held a comfortable 47-35 advantgae going into the locker room.
Regis scored just 12-points in the third, their lowest scoring quarter of the game, while holding the Cougars to 11. The Rangers maintained control of the game throughout the fourth and ended with three-straight baskets from beyond the arc.
Game Notes: Senior
Mary Sigler and Church both had a game-high 22-points. Sigler shot 7-of-13 from the field and splashed six of her eight three-point attempts while assisting three other baskets. Church opened the game with back-to-back buckets from downtown and added one more to finish 3-for-6 from three-point land. She sank 8-of-11 shots from the field and added three free-throws and two assists.
The team shot an outstanding 53.6 percent (30-56) from the field and 50 percent (13-26) from outside the arc.
Robinson contributed with eight points and a team-high four assists.
Junior
Shelby Espinosa snagged a game-high 11 rebounds, five of which came off the offensive glass. RU had eight offensive rebounds leading to nine second-chance points. They out-rebounded the Cougars 31 to 27.
