Burroway Earns RMAC All-Academic First Team, Eight Others Recognized on Honor Roll

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The 2020 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) All-Academic Volleyball Teams were announced on Friday morning and senior Caitlyn Burroway was named to the First Team with eight others earning RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll selections.

To be considered for Academic All-RMAC, a student-athlete needs to maintain a minimum 3.30 cumulative grade point average and must have been an active student at the institution for at least two semesters in a row or three consecutive quarters.
 
Burroway (League City, Texas) earns her first-ever selection to the RMAC All-Academic First Team after earning a spot on the Honor Roll in 2019. She boasts a 3.533 Grade Point Average (GPA) as a Health and Exercise Science major with a Health Administration minor. At the end of the regular season, Burroway ranked first in the conference with 171 kills and was also fifth with a 3.11 kills per set average. As far as team ranks go, she ranked first in the previously mentioned categories while ranking second on the team with 173 digs and a 3.15 digs per set average. Burroway also led the team with 16 service aces.

Sophomore | Londyn Johnson: 3.632 GPA, Major: Sociology
Sophomore | Haley Kennedy: 3.667 GPA, Major: Biology
Sophomore | Mara LeGrand: 3.667 GPA, Major: Business Administration
Sophomore | Maddie Uyemura: 4.0 GPA, Biology
*All make their debuts on the RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll in their first year of eligibility
 
Redshirt-Sophomore | Hannah Kennedy: 3.803 GPA, Major: Biology, Minor: Chemistry
  • Two-time RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll Selection
Junior | Rachel Siurek: 3.9 GPA, Major: Elementary Education
  • Two-time RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll Selection
 
Senior | Sophie Griese: 3.506 GPA, Major: Health and Exercise Science, Minor: Health Administration
  • Becomes a three-time RMAC All-Academic Honor Roll Selection
 
The RMAC Academic Player of the Year is Kayla White from MSU Denver.
