AUSTIN, Texas – The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-America Teams for softball have been selected and junior
Jessi Case from the Regis University softball team has earned All-America First Team honors.
Case becomes the first-ever Ranger in Regis Softball history to be named to the CoSIDA Academic All-America First Team. After earning CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team honors earlier this month, she advanced to the All-America ballot where she received enough votes to be named to the First Team.
At the end of the season, Case also became the first All-America performer, athletically, for the Regis University softball team since 2011.
In the classroom, she boasts a 3.88 GPA as a Business Administration major. The shortstop had a very impressive season in 2021, leading to numerous accolades including D2CCA All-America Third Team, D2CCA All-Region First Team, All-RMAC First Team and Academic All-RMAC First Team honors. This award joins a host of others that Case has received this season.
The Loveland, Colorado native posted career highs in nearly every statistical category this season. Most impressively, Case finished the season ranked third in all of Division II with a .500 batting average.
Case posted career-highs in batting average (.500), at-bats (116), runs scored (40), hits (58), doubles (7), triples (3), home tuns (8), RBI's (26), total bases (95), slugging percentage (.819), on base percentage (.543) and 27 stolen bases.
